Red Rock Central/Westbrook-Walnut Grove used a late rally to surge to an 11-6 victory over Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda Tuesday in Okabena.
RRC/WWG trailed 5-3, but used an eight-run sixth inning to take the lead for good.
In the first, Leah Carter drove in a run with a groundout and Carlie Ross hit an RBI single for a 2-0 Falcon lead.
Trailing 4-2, the Falcons pulled to within one on a Carter fielder’s choice grounder.
In the top of the sixth, the Falcons took the lead when Hadley Jenniges ripped a bases-clearing double. Ross hit an RBI single, Leah VanDeWiele hit a two-run single, Natasha Wahlhit an RBI single and Jenniges drew a bases-loaded walk.
Wahl had four hits while Ross added three hits in the win.
Ross earned the pitching win, allowing six runs on seven hits. She walked nine and struck out three.
