Red Rock Central’s outside game never got on track Thursday, as the Falcons fell 70-32 to Heron Lake-Okabena-Fulda in the Section 3A playoffs at Fulda.
The Coyotes started the game with a 17-0 run before a lay-up from Lily Batalden got RRC on the board. HLOF proceeded to stretch the lead behind a pressing defense and hot shooting in the first half, eventually leading by 28 points at halftime.
The Coyote defense prevented the Falcons from getting good looks from three-point range, as RRC went 0-of-7 on three-pointers for the game.
Kendra Schroeder led the Falcons with 10 points. Kysha Wani added five points in the loss.
