The Windom girls basketball team bombed away from the outside Friday night, cruising to a 99-74 victory over Truman/Martin Luther/Granada-Huntley-East Chain in Windom.
The Eagles buried 15 three-pointers as a team and shot 42% from the field for the game. The Eagles also forced 30 turnovers, which allowed Windom to blow the game open early with transition baskets.
Eagle senior Anja Nielsen hit eight three-pointers and scored the 1,000th point of her career with her final bucket of the night.
Haidyn Sammons led the Eagles with 32 points. Nielsen added 28 points. Alivia Letcher and Sadie Tjentland each added 17 points in the win.

SWC 30-34 = 64
Southwest Christian came out firing from the start Friday night, shooting its way to a 64-54 victory over Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey in Edgerton.
SWC hit 13 three-pointers in the game. That included seven of its nine first-half field goals. That staked the Eagles to an eight-point halftime lead.
The Wolverines tried to mount a comeback but struggled with turnovers and cold shooting in the second half, finishing with 17 turnovers for the game.
Mikaya Schroeder led the Wolverines with 17 points. Julia Brinkman added 12 points in the loss.
