Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey’s leading scorers shouldered the load Tuesday night, carrying the Wolverines to a 75-67 win over Adrian-Ellsworth at Mt. Lake.
The win snapped a 19-game losing streak for the Wolverines, who hadn’t won since their season-opening game.
From the start, Aidan Olson and Maxton Fast had the hot hands for the Wolverines. The two accounted for all but five of MLAC’s points in the opening half, as the Wolverines jumped to a seven-point halftime lead.
In the second half, the trend continued. Olson poured in 22 second half points, while Fast added 13 in the second half.
Olson finished with 36 points in the victory. Fast added 25 points and Jordan Khamkhaykeo finished with seven.

Edgerton 43-38 = 81
Edgerton’s balanced offense and strong free throw shooting proved too much for Red Rock Central to overcome Tuesday, as the Dutchmen claimed an 81-59 win at Edgerton.
Edgerton went 16-of-20 from the line in the game, including a perfect 8-of-8 in the opening half. That allowed Edgerton to race to an early 12-point halftime lead.
In the second half, RRC wasn’t able to keep pace with Edgerton’s balance. The Dutchmen had four players score in double figures in the game.
Henry Stavnes led the Falcons with 21 points. Abe Stavnes added 16 and Finn Batalden scored 12 in the loss.
