Pipestone used an early scoring binge to take the lead, then answered every Windom challenge the rest of the way, claiming a 79-69 win over the Eagles Friday at Windom.
Pipestone took the lead with an 18-5 run and led by as many as 12 points in the first half. The Eagles trimmed the deficit to five by halftime, but the Arrows again pushed the lead back to double digits throughout the second half, answering each Eagle push with a critical basket.
Pipestone shot 42% from the field and hit 11 three-pointers as a team in the game.
Haidyn Sammons led the Eagles with 28 points. Alivia Letcher scored 14 and Brita Tjentland added 12 in the loss.

MCC 33-37 = 70
Murray County Central erupted in the first half, then started the second half with a burst Friday, cruising to a 70-48 victory over Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey in Slayton.
MCC used a run to open a 28-8 lead early. The Wolverines were able to whittle the deficit to nine points by halftime, but MCC started the second half with a 14-0 run to put the game out of reach.
Mikaya Schroeder led the Wolverines with 18 points in the loss. Annabelle Hup added nine points.

HLOF 35-41 = 76
Heron Lake-Okabena-Fulda had a hot night from the field and dominated on defense Friday night, rolling to a 76-30 win over Red Rock Central at Okabena.
The Coyotes held RRC to nine field goals and forced 33 turnovers in the game. That allowed HLOF to open a 20-point halftime lead and continue to stretch the lead throughout the second half.
RRC was held to 23% shooting for the game.
Brailynn Olson led RRC with 10 points. Celia Vogel finished with eight points in the loss.
