The Windom girls hockey team closed the regular season with a convincing victory Saturday, defeating South Central 6-1 at the Windom Arena.
South Central is the pairing between Waseca and Faribault for girls hockey.
The Eagles got on the board 55 seconds into the game, as Ashlyn Koch snapped off a wrist shot for a goal.
South Central tied the game at the 6:57 mark of the opening period, but it was all Eagles after that.
Goals from Alayna Nelson and Koch late in the opening period gave the Eagles a 3-1 lead.
Windom Area stretched the lead to 4-1 on a goal from Alicia Meyeraan in the second period.
In the third period, Koch netted her first career hat trick 1:20 into the period, then added a fourth goal for good measure at the 6:53 mark.
South Central outshot the Eagles 57-52 for the game. Goalie Fiona Robillard, in her final regular season start at home, finished with 56 saves.
