Red Rock Central couldn’t rally all the way back from an early deficit Thursday, dropping a 62-58 decision to Russell-Tyler-Ruthton in Tyler.
The Falcons trailed early and were down by six at halftime. In the second half, the Falcon offense roared back behind sophomore Henry Stavnes, who scored 25 of the Falcons’ 33 points in the final 18 minutes.
But RTR outscored the Falcons 13-6 from the free throw line for the game, including scoring its final four points from the stripe to seal the victory.
Stavnes led the Falcons with 37 points in the loss. Jordan Therkilsen added 10 points.
