The Windom Eagle girls basketball team’s offense erupted late in the first half and continued firing on all cylinders in the second half Tuesday, rolling to an 89-41 win over Redwood Valley at Windom.
The Eagles closed the opening half with a 38-5 run, giving the Eagles a 56-16 halftime lead.
Windom forced the Cardinals into 36 turnovers in the game, converting those into 43 points.
The night also saw a team record set. Anja Nielsen drained 10 three-pointers in the game, eclipsing the previous record of nine treys in a single game, which had been held by K.J. Huska.
Nielsen finished the night with a career-high 35 points. Haidyn Sammons added 23 points. Alivia Letcher scored 11 and Sadie Tjentland added 10 in the win.

MLAC 20-24 = 44
Nicollet pulled away late in the second half Tuesday to claim a 57-44 victory over Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey at Comfrey.
The Raiders held a one-point lead halfway through the second half, but closed the game with a 21-9 run.
Nicollet held a 13-5 scoring edge from the free throw line and held the Wolverines to 30% shooting from the field.
Julia Brinkman led MLAC with 11 points. Ashlyn Pfeiffer added eight points in the loss.
