The Windom boys basketball team hung on late Tuesday, claiming a 73-68 victory over Redwood Valley at Windom.
The Eagles opened up a 19-point halftime lead and built the lead up to 21 points in the second half. However, a furious rally by the Cardinals whittled the deficit down to two points.
A pair of three-pointers late by Joe Walinga and late free throws from Matt Redman helped the Eagles maintain the lead and eventually claim the victory.
Elliot Serreyn and Jackson Joyce each scored 15 points to lead the Eagles. Walinga and Henry Visker each chipped in 12 points in the win.

Red Rock Central turned up the heat in the second half Tuesday, pulling away for a 72-60 victory over Adrian-Ellsworth at Ellsworth.
After a tied halftime score, the Falcons forced the Dragons into several turnovers in the second half. The Falcons then scored their final nine points from the free throw line, sealing the victory.
Falcon sophomore Henry Stavnes turned in a career performance, hitting 17 field goals in the game and scoring a career-high 47 points in the win. Jordan Therkilsen added 10 points in the victory.

Southwest Christian’s defense dominated the game Tuesday, as the Eagles rolled to an 88-32 victory over Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey in Mt. Lake.
The Wolverines were held to four first-half field goals and 12 field goals for the game. Meanwhile, SWC had five three-pointers in the opening half and forced 27 Wolverine turnovers in the game.
Maxton Fast led the Wolverines with 10 points, all in the second half. Aidan Olson added seven points in the loss.
