A recent fixture in local law enforcement has officially retired.
At its recent meeting, the Mt. Lake City Council accepted the retirement of “Bruno,” the department’s K9 police officer.
Bruno had also served with the Windom Police Department and moved to the Mt. Lake Police Department when his handler, Louis Norell, moved from the Windom P.D. to Mt. Lake P.D. Norell is currently the Mt. Lake police chief.
Norell subsequently purchased Bruno from the city of Mt. Lake, where Bruno will become a family pet.
