Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey couldn’t overcome an early deficit Thursday evening, dropping a 65-58 decision to Adrian-Ellsworth at Adrian.
The Dragons held MLAC’s offense under wraps in the first half, racing out to an 11-point halftime lead.
MLAC tried to battle back in the second half, as the Dragons struggled from the free throw line in the second half. But the Dragons were able to make four free throws in the final 30 seconds, icing the victory.
Maxton Fast led the Wolverines with 19 points in the loss. Jordan Khamkhaykeo added 11 points.
Edgerton 37-37 = 74
RRC 28-23 = 51
Edgerton’s balanced offensive attack in the second half proved to be the difference, as the Dutchmen pulled away for a 74-51 win over Red Rock Central in Lamberton.
Edgerton built a nine-point halftime lead, but had eight players hit the scoring column in the second half.
Meanwhile, RRC’s offense was slowed down, as the Dutchmen held the Falcons to 23 second-half points.
Henry Stavnes accounted for 34 of the Falcons’ 51 points in the game. Finn Batalden added six points in the loss.
