A late run in the first half propelled Blue Earth Area to a lead it wouldn’t relinquish Tuesday, as the Bucs defeated the Windom Eagles 84-76 at Windom.
The Eagles held a 34-30 lead, but the Bucs closed the first half with an 18-7 run, taking a seven-point halftime lead.
BEA was able to stretch the lead to 15 in the second half. Windom tried mounting a comeback, but could only close the deficit to eight before time expired.
Elliot Serreyn led the Eagles with 19 points in the loss. Jackson Joyce and Henry Visker each scored 18 and Will Skarphol added 10.
