The Windom boys basketball team got off to a strong start Tuesday and made an early lead stick, claiming a 76-58 win over Worthington in the championship of the Windom Holiday Classic.
The Eagles started the game with an 11-0 run. Worthington was able to cut the deficit down to four, but the Eagles expanded the lead back to double digits late in the half. Windom then pushed the lead as large as 24 points in the second half.
Henry Visker paced the Eagles with 27 points. Elliot Serreyn added 20 points and Jackson Joyce finished with 16 points in the win.

SWC 54-34 = 88
Southwest Christian used a strong inside-outside game to build a commanding lead Tuesday, rolling to an 88-56 win over Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey at Edgerton.
The Eagles battered the Wolverines in the land, as Josiah Hoftyzer scored 18 first-half points. That set up the outside game, as SWC hit six three-pointers in the opening half.
SWC was able to build a 27-point halftime lead before closing out the win.
Aidan Olson led MLAC with 23 points. Maxton Fast added 13 points in the loss.
RCW 36-30 = 66
RRC 15-21 = 36
Red Rock Central struggled to get going on offense Tuesday evening, falling behind early and dropping a 66-36 decision to Renville County West in Lamberton.
The Jaguars came out firing, shooting well over 50% in the opening half. Meanwhile, RCW was able to hold the Falcon offense under wraps, limiting the Falcons to five first-half field goals on its way to a 21-point halftime lead. RRC was held scoreless for a seven-minute stretch in the first half.
RRC tried to battle back in the second half, but could get no closer than the 21-point halftime deficit.
Finn Batalden led RRC with 17 points. Jordan Therkilsen finished with nine points.
