The Windom Area girls hockey team couldn’t keep pace on offense Thursday night, dropping a 5-1 decision to Austin at the Windom Arena.
The Packers peppered the Eagle net in the game, outshooting the Eagles 75-10. Eagle goalie Fiona Robillard finished with 70 saves in the loss.
Austin got on the board 2:28 into the game, but the Eagles answered 11:54 into the opening period, as Addison Schumacher scored a power play goal, assisted by Alicia Meyeraan and Ashlyn Koch.
But Austin regained the lead less than a minute later, then added a pair of goals in the second and one in the third to seal the win.
