The Windom Eagle girls basketball team stayed unbeaten for the season Thursday night, going on the road to defeat a strong Cedar Mountain squad 79-65 in Morgan.
The Eagles staked themselves to an early lead, hitting five three-pointers in the opening half to take a 41-38 lead.
In the second half, the Eagle defense created a string of turnovers to generate a 12-0 run, retaking the lead after the Cougars had clawed to a four-point lead in the second half.
Windom added five three-pointers in the second half and had four players score in double figures in the game.
Haidyn Sammons led the Eagles with 24 points. Sadie Tjentland added 17 points, while Anja Nielsen and Adison Hogan each chipped in 13 points.
