The Windom Area School Board has voted unanimously to move forward with a facilities referendum that district leaders say is a central part of Windom’s Way Forward, a broader community vision that includes improved school facilities, expanded childcare options, enhanced pool and trail amenities and initiatives that support economic development and quality of life for residents.
The school referendum is the first piece of the larger comprehensive community vision to move ahead, and it is the only portion scheduled for a vote on Feb. 10, 2026. Other community priorities identified through Windom’s Way Forward will be further explored and phased in over time through separate planning and partnerships.
