The Windom School Board heard the first official enrollment numbers for the 2025-26 school year, and district administrators reported a positive first six weeks at Monday’s meeting.
Superintendent Jamie Frank said the district’s Oct. 1 enrollment shows 1,129 students in grades K-12, a number slightly higher than expected.
“We graduated 90 seniors last year and we were expecting 70 kindergartners, so we were expecting a decrease of about 20 students this year,” Frank said. “However, over the summer, we had several students enroll and we ended up beginning the school year exactly where we ended last year. We gained a net of 18 students.”
