TUESDAY CROSS COUNTRY: Four Eagles earn All-BSC

Big South Conference Meet

The Windom Eagle boys placed second and the girls were sixth in the small-school division at the Big South Conference Meet, held in the rain Tuesday at Luverne.

The Eagle boys, who were ranked 12th in the state in the most-recent poll, finished with 43 points. Top-ranked Redwood Valley won the team title with 27 points.

The Eagle girls finished with 166 points. Redwood Valley won the title with 26 points.

The Eagle boys finished with all seven of their runners in the top 20, with all five scoring runners in the top 11 to earn either all-conference or honorable mention.

The top 10 boys and girls each finished as all-conference runners, while positions 11 through 17 earned honorable mention.

Bryce Green led the Eagles, earning all-conference with a fifth-place time of 17:00. He was joined by fellow all-conference finishers Caelen Ralston in eighth (17:22), Isaac Bordewyk in ninth (17:26) and Nolan Tjentland in 10th (17:27).

Braylen Lyons earned honorable mention by finishing 11th (17:30).

The Eagle girls were paced by Penelope Roberts in 22nd place, finishing in 22:53. Macie Carlson was 33rd (24:01), followed by Jesselle Sosa in 35th (24:06), Jocelyn Frank in 45th (25:50) and Gretta Smith in 47th (25:50).
