The Wings United boys soccer team couldn’t overcome an early deficit Thursday evening, dropping a 5-1 decision at Marshall.
The Tigers jumped out to a 2-0 lead early in the game. The Wings were able to cut the deficit to 2-1 when Herson Perez redirected a crossing pass into the Tiger net.
The Wings were able to get another good scoring chance before halftime but misfired on a shot attempt.
That provided the opening the Tigers needed, as Marshall pulled away in the second half, as five different Tiger players scored goals.
