The Cottonwood County attorney’s office moved closer to full staffing after Tuesday’s special meeting of the Cottonwood County Board of Commissioners.
The board approved the hiring of Arianna Rwaki to serve as assistant county attorney.
The board also approved a motion to enter into a contract with Jackson County, which would allow Jackson County to purchase 40% of the services of the assistant county attorney. Jackson County has not yet approved the contract.
Rwaki is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas School of Law and has previously worked as a criminal defense attorney.
