Warrior Invite
The Mt. Lake Area cross country team had both individual champions Tuesday, as both the Wolverine girls and boys earned team runner-up honors at the Warrior Invitational, held at the Slayton Country Club.
The MLA girls finished with 64 points. Springfield-Cedar Mountain won the meet with 61 points.
The Wolverine boys finished with 43 points. Murray County Central/Fulda won the meet with 39 points.
The Wolverine girls were led by individual champion Katie Johnson, who finished with a time of 20:40. She was followed by Julia Brinkman in ninth (22:34), Emily Johnson in 14th (23:50), Hannah Beyer in 21st (24:13) and Brynlee Morey in 25th (24:48).
The Wolverine boys had three top-10 finishers, led by individual champion Cooper Evers with a time of 17:46. He was followed by Joseph Torres in third (18:07), Gideon Winger in ninth (19:10), Jacob Lopez in 15th (20:39) and Braiden Pack in 17th (20:50).
