Tri For Health Invite
The Windom Eagle boys cross country team picked up a convincing team victory Thursday, capturing the title at the Tri For Health Invitational, held at the Jackson Golf Club.
The Eagle boys finished with 30 team points. Fairmont was second with 60 points.
The Eagle girls finished sixth in the team standings with 130 points. Jackson County Central and Adrian-Ellsworth tied atop the standings with 53 points.
The Eagle boys had four top-10 runners and all five scorers in the top 12 at the meet.
They were led by individual champion Bryce Green, who finished with a time of 17:51. Nolan Tjentland finished third (18:01), followed by Braylen Lyons in seventh (18:25), Isaac Bordewyk in ninth (18:41) and Caelen Ralston in 12th (18:57).
The Eagle girls were paced by Macie Carlson, who earned a top-10 finish with a ninth-place time of 24:23. She was followed by Jocelyn Frank in 31st (26:45), Gretta Smith in 32nd (26:47), Penelope Roberts in 34th (26:50) and Jesselle Sosa in 46th (28:23).
