Turkey Trot
The Windom Eagle boys cross country team finished second as a team and the girls were seventh at the annual Turkey Trot, held in Worthington Thursday.
The Eagle boys finished with 51 team points. Sioux Falls Lincoln won the meet with 46 points.
Windom’s girls finished with 146 points. Sioux Falls Lincoln won the meet with 30 points.
The Eagle boys were led by Bryce Green, who finished in nearly a dead heat with St. James senior Andrei Rivera at the front of the pack. Video review of the finish showed Rivera winning by .06 seconds, with Green finishing second with a career-best time of 16:36.72.
Braylen Lyons added an eighth-place finish (17:25), followed by Nolan Tjentland in 10th (17:42), Isaac Bordewyk in 13th (17:55) and Kieran Anderson in 22nd (19:25).
The girls were led by Jesselle Sosa, who finished 29th with a time of 24:58. Macie Carlson was 31st (25:18), followed by Penelope Roberts in 34th (25:39), Gretta Smith in 42nd (26:23) and Jocelyn Frank in 46th (26:46).
