The Windom Eagle volleyball team overcame some inconsistency Tuesday night, eventually pulling away for a 3-1 victory over Red Rock Central at Lamberton.
The Eagles were in control early, winning the opening set in convincing fashion. But RRC was able to capitalize on strong serving and balanced offense in set two, tying the match at 1-1.
Windom again surged in set three, winning 25-14. The fourth set was back-and-forth throughout before the Eagles scored the final four points of the night, claiming a 25-21 win.
Windom was led at the service line by Addison Colbert, who was 15-of-15 with four aces. Haidyn Sammons was 16-of-16 with three aces. Kenzi Meyeraan added three aces on 17-of-20 serving. Meyeraan and Adison Hogan each had nine kills in the win. Colbert, Sadie Tjentland and Ember Struck had six kills each. Ali Lund had a team-high 16 set assists. Anja Nielsen had 15 assists and 18 digs. Sammons added 18 digs.
RRC was led by Abby Evans, who was 11-of-13 serving with two aces and added a team-best 13 kills. Shylin Hagert added eight kills and three solo blocks. Natasha Erickson had 26 set assists. Kendra Schroeder finished with a team-high 18 digs.

Martin County West surged late in each set Tuesday night, pulling away for a 3-0 sweep over Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey at Trimont.
