Windom woman faces felony drug charge

Kristina Felix, 50, of Windom, has been charged in Cottonwood County Court with fifth-degree drug possession (non-cannabis/hemp).

According to the criminal complaint, on July 29, a party reported suspected drug activity at Perkins Creek Apartments, stating there was a lot of foot traffic in and out of Felix’s apartment.

The officer then went to Felix’s apartment. Felix answered the door and gave the officer permission to look around. The officer stated Felix appeared nervous, breathing heavily and grinding her teeth. Felix told the office she did not have any methamphetamine in the apartment.

The officer saw bags near Felix’s bed containing .93 grams of methamphetamine. Felix stated it belonged to her friend.

If convicted, Felix faces a maximum possible sentence of five years in prison, a $10,000 fine or both.
