James Bruce Reid (64) died on July 29, 2025 in Minneapolis, MN. Born on September 23, 1960 in Worthington, MN, Jim grew up in Rushmore and Windom, MN. He was always eager to explore and try new things. He took some classes at St. John’s University and went on to practice therapeutic massage, working at the Aveda Spa in Osceola, WI and other locations. Jim developed innovative therapeutic shower heads and whirlpool tubs and sold them through his company Reid Systems.
Jim will be remembered for his sense of humor, his love of guitars, his spirit of adventure, his compassion for humans and animals, and his red hair.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Reid and Ruth (Cross) Reid. He is survived by his siblings, Stuart Reid, Kathryn Reid Walker (William), Susan Perrodin (John), and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be given to BARC in Windom, MN, the Humane Society, or to Kathryn Reid Walker (c/o First Presbyterian Church, 2112 Rudolph Rd, Eau Claire, WI, 54701) to defray funeral home expenses.
A private family memorial gathering will be held in August.
