The Cottonwood County 4-H Food Stand is well known for its homemade meals and treats.
For years, Cottonwood County 4-H families and home council members supplied the double-crusted fruit pies that are a staple of the food stand.
In an effort for more consistent sizing and baking, Cottonwood County 4-H youth and adult volunteers came together recently at the Mt. Lake Christian School to make over 125 double-crusted pies.
The pies will be baked freshly daily during the Cottonwood County Fair, August 6-9, in Windom. Pie slices available will be apple, blueberry, cherry, peach and strawberry rhubarb.
