Vicki Beckendorf of Odin is being featured this summer for her artwork at the Cottonwood County Historical Society.
Entitled Transitions, the exhibit showcases more than 20 pieces of her work. Her art captures the struggles and resilience of the human condition and will be on display at the museum until Aug. 30.
While mostly self-taught, Beckendorf has taken art classes at various universities and colleges, focusing on oil and watercolor painting.
Beckendorf was only in second grade when art first caught her attention. Like most young children, she often found herself in trouble for talking out of turn during class.
