The Miss Riverfest Pageant was held Monday evening to a full house of family and friends in the Business, Arts and Recreation Center auditorium. The Pageant was sponsored by Windom Women of Today.
This year’s Miss Riverfest crown went to Brita Tjentland. Tjentland was also named Miss Photogenic. Grace Scheitel earned runner-up and Natalie Hodgins was named Miss Congeniality.
The evening began with a welcoming from last year’s Miss Riverfest, Gabriella Symens and Runner-up, Kenley Powers. The two former contestants kept the attendees laughing with their jokes.
The evening continued with the elegance of this year’s contestants being escorted by their fathers as they introduced themselves. The five contestants were Margarita Berduo, Hodgins, Aren King, Scheitel and Tjentland.
Later, a talent presentation from each contestant kept the crowd entertained along with a group dance to ABBA’s “Dancing Queen.”
The Little Miss Riverfest contestants and escorts then took center stage with their introduction and a group dance from the Little Miss Riverfest contestants. Charlotte Mesner was crowned princess and Emma Simon was crowned Little Miss Riverfest.
