Section 3A Finals
Red Rock Central’s girls finished third as a team and a Falcon player came up just short of earning a state tournament bid at the Section 3A Finals, held Friday at GreatLife Golf Course in Worthington.
The Falcon girls had a two-day total score of 913. Murray County Central won the girls team title with a 748, while Lakeview won the boys title with a 651.
For the Falcon girls, sophomore Jorga Brown carded a two-day score of 194, putting her in ninth-place, individually. She finished one stroke behind the final state individual qualifier.
Ary Weber added a two-day score of 212 for 14th place. Josie Timm placed 17th with a 221. Paige Wondercheck finished 29th with a 286.
For the Falcon boys, Keagan Steen finished 13th, shooting a 175. He finished the tourney with a second-round 82. Max Erickson placed 33rd, scoring a 198.
