A 42-year-old Jackson man faces felony charges stemming from an incident on May 3 in Windom.
Court documents say Suclah Clarke Sibou faces two felony charges. The first count is for possessing ammunition or any firearm after being convicted or adjudicated delinquent for a crime of violence and the second count involves a firearm violation.
The complaint, filed on May 5 by Windom police, states an officer received information about a vehicle containing a person who had a felony warrant for his arrest. The vehicle was located at South Windom Apartments. Upon locating the vehicle, an officer conducted a traffic stop at Casey’s parking lot, where the person was arrested.
Sibou, identified as the driver, admitted to using methamphetamine earlier that day. A search of the vehicle revealed a Glock 17 pellet gun, a pellet gun magazine and a Walther PPX magazine loaded with 9 mm bullets.
The complaint said Sibou has a history of convictions for crimes of violence, including second-degree burglary and various controlled substance offenses.
The complaint requests that Sibou, who is in custody, continue to be detained pending further proceedings.
Both charges carry a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison and a $30,000 fine, with a minimum sentence of five years in prison.
