Red Rock Conference Meet
Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey and Westbrook-Walnut Grove/Red Rock Central took part in the Red Rock Conference Meet, held Thursday in Slayton.
The MLAC girls finished fourth with 76 points while WWG/RRC was sixth with 74½. Hills-Beaver Creek won the team title with 158 points.
For the boys, MLAC was sixth with 51 points. WWG/RRC was seventh with 41. HBC won the team title with 182 points.
The MLAC girls were led by Gracie Peters, who placed first in the 400 (1:02.99). Katie Johnson was second in the 1,600 (6:06.44). Zoe Evers took second in the 300 hurdles (53.72). Emily Johnson was third in the 3,200 (14:11.24). Keara Anacker was third in the high jump (4-8).
The MLAC boys were led by Ethan Schroeder’s win in the 800 (2:03.85). Joseph Torres took second in the 3,200 (11:09.21).
WWG/RRC’s girls were paced by Miranda Mischke, who finished second in the 800 (2:42.96) and third in the 1,600 (6:07.31). Anna Byers added a runner-up finish in the 100 hurdles (18.99). Evelyn Rentschler was third in the 100 hurdles (19.12) and pole vault (7-6). Alexis Vang took third in the discus (82-3).
The Charger boys were led by Bowen Hesse, who placed first in the 110 hurdles (17.28) and third in the 300 hurdles (46.69). Adrian Yang took second in the pole vault (10-6).
Tomahawk/Valley Conference Meet
Martin County West/Butterfield-Odin placed sixth in both the girls and boys team competition at the Tomahawk/Valley Conference Meet, held Thursday in Sleepy Eye.
The Maverick girls finished with 22 points. River Valley won the team title with 194 points.
The MCWBO boys scored 52 points. Mankato Loyola/Cleveland won the team title with 156 points.
The Maverick girls were led by Evelynn Christenson, who took third in the 1,600 (6:04.54).
For the boys, Berent Kosbab won the 100 (12.07) and 200 (24.00). The team of Lixon Forsberg, Kale Larson, Lucas Larson and Kosbab won the 4×100 relay (46.34).
