New Ulm Invite
Windom’s boys placed fifth and the girls took seventh at the New Ulm Invitational, held Tuesday.
Windom’s boys scored 60 points. Redwood Valley won the meet with 153.
The Eagle girls scored 15 points. Tri-City United won the meet with 159.
Windom’s boys were led by Job Ogeka, who won the long jump (21-4¼) and was second in the triple jump (42-4½). Elliot Serreyn won the high jump (6-0). Trent Rothenberger won the shot put (41-3). The 4×800 relay team of Braylen Lyons, Caelen Ralston, Isaac Bordewyk and Bryce Green also took first (8:50.11).
The top finishes for the Eagle girls came in the discus, with Lilly Meyer second (103-5) and Theora Ahnupkana fourth (90-11).
SJM Invite
Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey and Martin County West/Butterfield-Odin took part in the St. James-Madelia Invite, held Tuesday in St. James.
The MLAC girls finished fourth with 68½ points. MCWBO was sixth with 29. St. James-Madelia won the meet with 159.
For the boys, MCWBO was fifth with 52 points. MLAC was sixth with 50. Maple River won the meet with 149½ points.
MLAC’s girls captured two first-place finishes. Hannah Beyer won the long jump (14-11) while Zoe Evers won the triple jump (29-2). Gracie Peters was second in the 400 (1:03.09) and third in the long jump (13-11½). Katie Johnson took third in the 1,600 (5:49.41).
MCWBO’s girls were led by Mylee Larson, who was third in the discus (77-10). Evelyn Christensen took third in the 3,00 (13:07.55).
For the boys, MCWBO was paced by double-event winner Berent Kosbab, who won the 100 (11.65) and 200 (23.25). Lixon Forsberg was second in the triple jump (36-2½). Hank Olson took third in the discus (106-2).
MLAC’s boys were led by Joseph Torres, who won the 3,200 (11:16.76). Cameron Meyer was second in the long jump (18-7½). Ethan Schroeder took second in the 1,600 (4:38.27).
Bob Nangle Relays
Westbrook-Walnut Grove/Red Rock Central’s girls were ninth and the boys were 10th at the Bob Nangle Relays, held Tuesday in Pipestone.
WWG/RRC’s girls scored 32½ points. Luverne won the meet with 219.
The WWG/RRC boys scored 16 points. Worthington won the meet with 164.
WWG/RRC’s girls were led by Miranda Mischke, who was third in the 1,600 (6:03.94) and fourth in the 800 (2:46.89).
For the boys, Bowen Hesse was third in the 110 hurdles (16.14). Adrian Yang took third in the pole vault (10-0).
