After considerable discussion by the Windom City Council, a resolution to repair two alleys passed by a 3-2 vote.
Council members Scott Benson, Jenny Quade and Jim Nelson favored the measure. Dennis Esplan and Jaysun Sherman voted against it.
Daniel Van Schepen of DGR Engineering presented proposals for repair of two alleys; the first located between 10th and 11th streets and extending from Third Avenue to Fifth Avenue (the alley behind businesses on the north side of the square to the Developmental Achievement Center), as well as a block between Eighth and Ninth streets and extending from Third Avenue to Fourth Avenue (the alley next to Plaza Jalisco). Both alleys are in poor condition.
