Eagle Invite
Windom, Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey and Westbrook-Walnut Grove/Red Rock Central all were in action Tuesday at the Eagle Invitational, held in Windom.
The girls standings were tight, with MLAC claiming a one-point win, scoring 104 points. Windom was second with 103. WWG/RRC placed fourth with 89 points.
For the boys, Murray County Central won the team title with 162 points. Windom was second with 122. MLAC was fourth with 66 points and WWG/RRC finished fifth with 50.
Windom’s girls were led by Ava Van Norman, who won the 100 (14.11) and was fourth in the 200 (29.93). Macie Carlson was first in the 1,600 (5:59.00). Lilly Meyer won the discus (91-0). The team of Haidyn Sammons, Carlson, Kenzi Meyeraan and Jesselle Sosa won the 4×800 (11:11.52), while the team of Sammons, Carlson, Harriet Lohse and Meyeraan won the 4×400 (4:42.43).
WWG/RRC’s girls were paced by Evelyn Rentschler, who won the 100 hurdles (17.75). Ally Linder won the shot put (31-7¾).
Gracie Peters led MLAC’s girls, winning the 400 (1:05.39). Zoe Evers took first in the 300 hurdles (55.80).
For the Windom boys, Braylen Lyons placed first in the 1,600 (4:51.55). James Erickson won the 300 hurdles (47.97). Trent Rothenberger won the discus (115-1). Kevin Bleess won the long jump (19-4). The team of Elliot Serreyn, Gavin Hetterich, Erickson and Noah Steffen won the 4×100 (48.36). The team of Job Ogeka, Lyons, Hyatt Hansen and Bleess won the 4×400 (3:46.64).
MLAC’s boys were led by Ethan Schroeder, who won the 400 (53.20) and 800 (2:15.15). Cameron Meyer won the high jump (5-4).
WWG/RRC’s top finisher was Bowen Hesse, who won the 110 hurdles (16.93).
Maple River Invite
Martin County West/Butterfield-Odin’s boys and girls each placed seventh at the Maple River Invitational, held Tuesday in Mapleton.
The MCWBO girls scored 27 points. St. Clair won the team title with 165 points.
The MCWBO boys finished with 23 points. Maple River won the team title with 171 points.
The MCWBO girls were led by Evelynn Christenson, who took second in the 3,200 (12:38.70). Mylee Larson was third in the discus (91-1).
The Maverick boys were led by Dominic Dietz, who took third in the 3,200 (12:39.00).
