Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey hit up and down the lineup Tuesday, cruising to a 13-2 victory over Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s at Mt. lake.
The Wolverines had five players with multiple hits and had five extra-base hits as a team in the win.
The Wolverines started the game strong, as Julia Brinkman led off with an inside-the-park home run. Ella Dockter plated a run when she reached on an error and Kylie Phommachan hit an RBI triple for a quick 3-0 lead.
MLAC stretched the lead to 7-1 in the second. Brinkman plated a run with an infield single, Ellamae Peters hit an RBI single, Nadia Phommachan plated a run on a fielder’s choice and Ashlyn Pfeiffer hit an RBI single.
The Wolverines sealed the win with a six-run fourth. Kelby Janzen brought in a run on a fielder’s choice, two runs scored when Kathryn Wassman reached on an error, Peters hit a two-run double and Ella Dockter had an RBI single.
Brinkman and Peters each had three hits. Pfeiffer, Kylie Phommachan and Wassman had two hits each.
Pfeiffer earned the pitching win, scattering four hits and three walks while striking out five.

Red Rock Central//Westbrook-Walnut Grove couldn’t shake off a tough start Tuesday, falling 12-2 to Edgerton/Southwest Minnesota Christian in Edgerton.
The Dutchmen plated five runs in the bottom of the first inning to take the lead for good. ESWC scored in five of their six trips to the plate, including twice in the sixth to end the game.
RRC/WWG scored in the top of the second on a Natasha Wahl RBI single. Then, in the fourth, Alondra Hansen scored on a wild pitch.
Natalie Wahl had two hits in the loss for the Falcons.
Carlie Ross took the pitching loss.
