Pipestone capitalized on chances to score late in the game Tuesday, rallying for a 9-4 victory over the Windom Eagles at Island Park.
The Arrows had baserunnings in every inning, but the Eagles were largely able to skate out of trouble in the first four innings.
The Eagles tied the game at 1-1 in the third inning on a Hayden Tietz RBI single, then took a 3-1 lead in the fourth as Quintin Tietz hit a two-run triple. Tietz was thrown out at the plate trying to stretch the play to an inside-the-park home run.
Pipestone’s offense broke through in the fifth, scoring three times to take a 4-3 lead. The Arrows added two more runs in the sixth and three in the seventh.
Windom’s final run came on a Stevie Meyer RBI single in the bottom of the seventh.
Windom was held to five hits in the game.
Joe Walinga took the tough loss, allowing four unearned runs on five hits in 4-⅓ innings. He walked two and struck out two.

RRC/WWG 010 200 001 = 4-9-3
Red Rock Central/Westbrook-Walnut Grove shook off an early deficit Tuesday, eventually scoring a 4-3 walk-off win over Wabasso in nine innings at Lamberton.
Wabasso plated all three of its runs in the top of the second.
RRC/WWG got on the board in the bottom of the inning on a Mason Warner RBI single.
In the fourth, the Falcons scored on an RBI triple from Finn Batalden and a sacrifice fly from Abe Stavnes.
The score stayed tied 3-3 until the bottom of the ninth, when Warner singles with the bases loaded and one out to plate the winning run.
Warner and Austin Imker had two hits each in the win.
Stavnes worked four shutout innings of relief for the pitching victory, allowing three hits and striking out three.

Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey couldn’t get the offense on track Tuesday, dropping a 2-1 decision to Heron Lake-Okabena-Fulda in Mt. Lake.
Both teams’ pitchers were sharp throughout. HLOF starter Dillon Smith held the Wolverines to one hit and struck out 13, while MLAC starter Khalid Fontanez scattered five hits and fanned nine.
MLAC took the lead in the bottom of the third as Tanner Schultz hit an RBI single for the Wolverines’ lone hit of the game.
HLOF tied the game in the fourth with an RBI single, then plated the go-ahead run on a fifth-inning sacrifice fly.
