The Windom Eagle baseball team got back on the winning track Friday afternoon, cruising to a 14-1 victory over Redwood Valley at Redwood Falls.
The Eagle offense hammered out 13 hits, including five extra-base hits. Meanwhile, Eagle pitchers held the Cardinals to just one hit.
Windom jumped to a 4-0 lead in the top of the first inning. Stevie Meyer ripped a two-run single, Matthew Voehl hit a run-scoring sacrifice fly and Meyer scored on a wild pitch.
In the second, Meyer hit an RBI double and later scored on a wild pitch.
Windom put the game away with an eight-run third inning. Quintin Tietz launched a three-run home run, Meyer hit a two-run single, Charles Erickson drew a bases-loaded walk and Jackson Anderson hit a two-run single.
Jackson Joyce and Meyer each had three hits in the win. Tietz had two hits and three RBI.
Tietz also earned the pitching win, working the first four innings. He allowed one run on one hit, walked two and struck out seven.

Red Rock Central/Westbrook-Walnut Grove split a doubleheader Friday in Lamberton, falling 12-2 to Minneota before defeating Lakeview 16-6.
In the opener, Minneota held the Falcon offense in check, claiming a 12-2 victory.
RRC/WWG was held to just one hit in the game, as Hudsen Jenniges led off the fifth inning with a double. He later scored on a wild pitch.
The Falcons’ first run scored on a Jordan Therkilsen groundout in the fourth.
Jake Erickson took the pitching loss, working the first two innings.
In the nightcap, the Falcons jumped on Lakeview early, scoring 12 runs in the first two innings.
In the first inning, Jake Erickson and Trent Blomgren each had two-run singles. Austin Imker, Jackson Jenniges, Blomgren and Jordan Therkilsen each had RBI singles in the second.
Erickson added an RBI single in the fifth, then ended the game with a walk-off sacrifice fly in the sixth.
Erickson had three hits for the Falcons. Jordan Therkilsen, Jenniges and Blomgren had two hits each.
Finn Batalden worked the first four innings to earn the pitching win.
