Windom Invite
The Windom boys placed fourth and the girls took fifth at the Windom Invitational, held Thursday.
The Eagle boys scored 78 points. Worthington won the team title with 152 points.
Windom’s girls scored 59 points. Redwood Valley won the team title with 147 points.
Windom’s boys were led by Kevin Bleess, who won the long jump (19-9). Trent Rothenberger added a win in the shot put (41-5½).
Royce Smith placed second in the discus (110-3). Caelen Ralston was second in the 3,200 (11:18.96). Braylen Lyons was third in the 1,600 (4:59.45). Job Ogeka was third in the long jump (19-2).
The Eagle girls were led by Lilly Meyer, who won the discus (88-0).
Theora Ahnupkana was second in the discus (84-9). Jenna Harrington took second in the shot put (27-5). Macie Carlson was second in the 1,600 (6:09.27). Haidyn Sammons took second in the 300 hurdles (56.68).
JWP Invite
Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey’s boys and girls each placed seventh in the team standings at the JWP Invitational, held Thursday in Janesville.
MLAC’s boys scored 44 points. Maple River won the team title with 157½ points.
The MLAC girls scored 28 points. Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton won the meet with 157 points.
MLAC’s boys were led by Ethan Schroeder, who won the 1,600 (4:59.17) and took second in the 800 (2:07.30). Cameron Meyer was fourth in the 300 hurdles (47.19). Eli Hall was fourth in the shot put (38-1).
For the girls, Hannah Beyer took fourth in the 800 (2:52.00). Katie Johnson was fourth in the 1,600 (6:26.15). Keara Anacker took fourth in the high jump (4-4).
Lakeview Invite
Westbrook-Walnut Grove/Red Rock Central’s girls finished sixth and the boys took 10th at the Lakeview Invite, held Thursday in Cottonwood.
The WWG/RRC girls scored 46.58 points. Canby-Minneota won the team title with 132.17 points.
The Charger boys scored 25 points. Murray County Central won the team title with 134.17 points.
The Charger girls were paced by fourth-place finishes from Miranda Mischke in the 1,600 (6:16.52), Riley Parker in the pole vault (8-0) and Sophie Paplow in the shot put (30-4).
Bowen Hesse had the top finish for the Charger boys, taking first in the 110 hurdles (16.39). Adrian Yang was second in the pole vault (10-0).
