Red Rock Central’s offense came through in the middle innings and the Falcons pitchers were sharp in the chilly conditions Thursday, as the Falcons claimed a 6-2 win over Heron Lake-Okabena-Fulda at Heron Lake.
RRC/WWG got on the board in the third on an Austin Imker RBI single.
With the score tied 1-1, the Falcons took the lead for good in the fifth. Hudsen Jenniges hit a two-run double and Imker followed with an RBI double.
The Falcons added a run on a wild pitch in the sixth and sealed the win with an Imker RBI groundout in the seventh.
Jenniges and Imker each had two hits in the win.
Jenniges worked the first 5-⅔ innings for the pitching win, allowing five hits and three walks while striking out eight. Imker went the final 1-⅓ innings for a save, striking out two.

Murray County Central broke through in the middle innings Thursday afternoon, rallying for a 4-0 victory over Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey in Mt. Lake.
The Rebels plated a pair of runs in the fifth inning on hits, then added a bases-loaded walk in the sixth and an RBI single in the seventh for the win.
MLAC’s offense was held in check, with Heber Morales collecting two of the Wolverines’ four hits in the game.
Landon Simon took the pitching loss, working 2-⅔ innings in relief.
