Emergency Management to offer in-person storm class with virtual instruction

Cottonwood County Emergency Management is offering an in-person severe weather spotter training class Tuesday, beginning at 6 p.m., at the Law Enforcement Center basement in Windom.

The class will include a virtual instructor from the National Weather Service office out of Sioux Falls. County Emergency Manager Paul Johnson also will be able to answer questions in person.

The NWS previously canceled an in-person class in Jackson and scheduled four virtual classes. Johnson is offering the class in Windom to accommodate a larger audience.
