Windom Area School Board members heard a proposal to change the sports medicine contract and also approved a new pairing agreement for the boys and girls hockey programs at Monday’s meeting.
Superintendent Jamie Frank talked about the proposal from Windom Area Health for having a full-time athletic trainer with office hours at the school, rather than covering only home games. She said it provides significant benefits for student-athletes, coaches and the overall athletic program.
Terri Elder from Windom Area Health was present to provide information and how having a trainer at the school would benefit the students, parents and the school.
