The City of Mt. Lake declared a snow emergency late yesterday, which will run until noon today.
All vehicles may not be parked in city streets or alleyways until plows have gone curb to curb. Vehicles remaining on streets may be ticketed or towed.
Additionally, as of 8 a.m. Wednesday, all major roads in Cottonwood County, and much of Southwest Minnesota, remained closed due to blizzard conditions in the region.
This includes:
* Highway 60 from the Iowa state line to Highway 169 between Mankato and Lake Crystal
* Highway 71 from the Iowa state line to Sanborn
* Highway 30 from Westbrook to St. James
* Highway 62 from Fulda to Windom
* Highway 86 from the Iowa state line to Highway 60
* Highway 59 from the Iowa state line to Fulda
* Highway 264 from I-90 to Round Lake
* Interstate 90 from Luverne to past Blue Earth
