At Tuesday’s meeting, Cottonwood County Commissioners approved a purchase of a new furnace for the county’s 10th Street office building in Windom.
One of the building’s three furnaces — a 30-year-old unit — had failed, impacting the heating system on the county attorney’s portion of the building. The other two furnaces were purchased new when the county took possession of the building in the past decade.
Two bids were received to replace the furnace.
The board approved the low bid of $10,126 from Schwalbach Plumbing and Heating to replace the furnace.
