The Windom Eagle girls basketball team stormed back in the second half Tuesday night, battling its way to a 71-66 victory over Pipestone at Windom.
The Eagle offense sputtered in the opening half, as the Arrows were able to build a 14-point halftime lead. But Windom battled back by forcing turnovers and poor shots by the Arrows, which allowed Windom to erase the deficit.
Down the stretch, a three-pointer from Adison Hogan ultimately tied the game for the Eagles. Another trey from Hannah Dauer gave the Eagles the lead for good, with Windom sealing the game from the free throw line in the closing seconds.
Hadley Sammons led the way with 29 points for the Eagles. Haidyn Sammons added 17 points and Dauer scored 11 in the win.

MLAC 16-20 = 36
Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey couldn’t overcome a rash of turnovers Tuesday night, as Russell-Tyler-Ruthton surged to a 68-36 win at Mt. Lake.
The Wolverines started the game with a 9-0 run and led 11-1 in the early stages, but RTR closed the first half with a 33-5 run, taking command of the game for good.
The Knights forced MLAC into 34 turnovers and outscored the Wolverines 42-18 in the paint.
Ellamae Peters led the Wolverines with seven points. Phithsada Phoumivong and Ashlyn Pfeiffer each scored six points in the loss.

MCC 37-25 = 62
Murray County Central had an efficient night on both ends of the floor Tuesday, cruising to a 62-34 victory over Red Rock Central at Slayton.
The Rebels were able to force 25 Falcon turnovers in the game, converting those into 24 points. MCC also pounded the glass for 23 offensive rebounds, outscoring the Falcons 21-0 in second-chance points.
Tia Donkersloot led the Falcons with 15 points. Kendra Schroeder added seven points in the loss.
