A second-half surge and red-hot shooting from the outside lifted Fairmont to a 95-75 victory over the Windom Eagle boys basketball team Tuesday in Windom.
Fairmont led by two points at halftime, but started the second half with an 18-2 run, taking the lead for good.
Windom held an early 10-point lead, but Fairmont erased the deficit thanks to hot outside shooting. The Cardinals hit 15 three-pointers in the game, shooting 58% from three-point range for the game.
Meanwhile, Windom started the game hot from the field, but went cold at the start of the second half and never recovered.
Job Ogeka led the Eagles with 20 points. Charles Erickson and Quintin Tietz each scored 14 and Elliot Serreyn added 13 points in the loss.

Westbrook-Walnut Grove shot a sizzling 53% from the field while holding Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey in check Tuesday, leading to a 72-44 Charger victory at Westbrook.
The Wolverines shot just 22% from the field, hitting only five baskets from two-point range in the game. That allowed WWG to hold a massive 48-32 edge on the boards and outscore the Wolverines 44-10 in the paint.
Landon Strom led the Wolverines with 15 points. Max Fast and Aidan Olson each scored nine points in the loss.
RRC 23-28 = 51
RTR 41-45 = 85
Red Rock Central battled early, but Russell-Tyler-Ruthton pulled away late for an 85-51 victory over the Falcons Tuesday in Tyler.
After trailing by as much as 30 points early in the second half, the Falcons were able to rally, trimming the deficit to 15 points with eight minutes to go. But RTR closed the game with a 24-2 run, sealing the victory.
RTR shot a scorching 63% from the field for the game and hammered the Falcons 26-0 in transition.
Henry Stavnes led the Falcons with 17 points. Abe Stavnes added 11 points in the loss.
