The Windom Eagle girls basketball team was hot from the field and sharp on defense Tuesday night, rolling to an 86-32 win over Luverne at Windom.
The Eagles blew the game open early with a 28-2 run, which allowed the Eagles to take a 34-point halftime lead. Windom shot 53% from the field as a team for the game and hit 11 three-pointers in the game.
In the second half, the Eagles were able to build the lead over 50 points.
Six Eagles scored in double figures in the game, led by Haidyn Sammons with 17 points. Hadley Sammons added 16 points. Brita Tjentland scored a career-high 14 points. Hannah Dauer added 14 points, while Anja Nielsen and Adison Hogan each scored 10 points.

Murray County Central got hot from outside in the second half Tuesday night, surging past Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey 52-40 at Slayton.
The Wolverines held a one-point halftime lead, but the Rebels answered with five second-half three-pointers. That allowed MCC to outscore the Wolverines 30-17 over the final 18 minutes.
Julia Brinkman led the Wolverines with 21 points, including six three-pointers. Ellamae Peters added eight points.

RRC 11-09 = 20
Red Rock Central was plagued by turnovers and poor shooting Tuesday, as Hills-Beaver Creek rolled to a 72-20 win at Lamberton.
The Patriots forced the Falcons into 33 turnovers in the game, outscoring RRC 32-4 off of turnovers.
RRC was held to eight field goals in the game and shot 29% from the field.
Tia Donkersloot and Paige Wondercheck each scored six points for the Falcons.
