The Windom Area Schools bantam hockey team wanted to make a difference in the lives of area students and they did so with a large donation.
The hockey team, comprised of 17 eighth and ninth-grade students from the following Windom, Jackson, Mt. Lake; St. James and Spencer, Iowa, donated $1,017 toward the Backpack Program recently.
