GYMNASTICS: Eagles take fifth at Marshall

The Windom Area gymnastics team turned in a season-best score Saturday, finishing fifth at the Marshall Invitational.

The Eagles finished with a team total of 116.975. Benson/Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunberg won the tournament with a 137.15 score.

The meet followed a different format than most regular-season meets, as each team was able to have six competitors per event. The top four scores were still used to determine the team score.

Senior Ada Lund led the way for the Eagles, finishing with a season-best all-around score of 32.45. Lund had an 8.9 on vault, which was good for third place in the tournament. Lund added a 7.95 on beam, 7.9 on floor and 7.7 on bars.

Seventh-grader Kyra Falk added a 29.275 all-around total, led with an 8.275 on vault and 7.6 on floor.

Addison Evans had a 27.375 all-around total, including an 8.1 on vault and 7.0 on floor.
