A strong finish to the first half and fast start to the second propelled the Windom boys basketball team to victory Friday, as the Eagles won 82-64 at St. James.
The Eagles broke a 32-32 tie with a 12-4 run to end the first half. Then, after St. James had trimmed the Eagle lead to 46-43, Windom went on a 22-3 run early in the second half, essentially sealing the victory.
Job Ogeka nearly had a triple-double in the win for the Eagles, finishing with 20 points, nine rebounds and 10 assists. Elliot Serreyn finished with 18 points. Carter Rossow had 15 points and Quintin Tietz added 10 in the win.

Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey steadily built a lead Friday night, pulling away from Red Rock Central for its first victory of the season, 75-43 at Mt. Lake.
The Wolverines never trailed in the contest, using an 11-0 run early in the first half to stake themselves to the lead for good.
The Wolverines shot 44% from the field and held the Falcons’ outside game under wraps, allowing RRC to hit just two three-pointers in the game.
Landon Strom led the Wolverines with 19 points. Aidan Olson added 17 points and Max Fast chipped in 12.
Abe Stavnes paced the Falcons with 16 points. Austin Imker added 11 points in the loss.
